Position Overview

The Associate Designer, Lucky Brand Men’s supports the Design team in the development and execution of seasonal apparel collections from concept through production, primarily focused on the Value and Wholesale channels, while also engaged with the Mainline product and business needs. This role is both creative and detail-oriented, partnering closely with Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, and Production to ensure product aligns with brand vision, quality standards, and seasonal timelines. The Associate Designer plays a key role in day-to-day design development, technical execution, and organizational support.
Key Responsibilities

Design & Creative Support

Support the development of seasonal concepts, color palettes, prints, and silhouettes in alignment with brand direction
Create and update technical sketches and flats using Adobe Illustrator
Assist with fabric, trim, and color selection in partnership with senior designers
Contribute to mood boards, concept decks, line reviews, and seasonal presentations
Conduct trend, market, and competitive research using digital platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, WGSN, Miro)
Product Development

Create, update, and maintain accurate tech packs, including measurements, construction details, and design comments
Support fit sessions by taking detailed notes, tracking revisions, and following up on changes
Track product updates and changes throughout the development lifecycle to ensure accuracy and alignment
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Merchandising, Technical Design, and Production to ensure design intent is clearly communicated and executed
Communicate with overseas vendors and factories as directed, supporting development and timeline needs
Assist in managing seasonal calendars and meeting key development milestones
Administrative & Operational Support

Organize and maintain design files, reference libraries, and seasonal boards
Update line plans, BOMs, PLM systems, and internal tracking documents
Support market preparation, adoption meetings, and seasonal milestones
Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field preferred
Experience

1–3 years of experience in an apparel design or product development role (internships included)
Apparel industry experience strongly preferred
Portfolio required
Skills

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; PLM experience a plus
Strong sketching, illustration, and organizational skills
Working knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and fit
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay Range

USD $62,700.00 - USD $114,000.00 /Yr.
