Overview
We're looking for a Jr. Creative Strategist who can help us make paid social ads that people actually watch, click, and buy from.
What \"creative strategy\" means at Hitch
The old split was strategists do decks, creatives do ideas. Creative strategy is the overlap.
you find the human truth
you turn it into a clear angle for the right awareness level
you translate that into hooks, formats, and scripts
you read what worked in the account and make the next batch smarter
What you\'ll actually do
Pull insights from the places real customers talk: reviews, social media, Reddit, competitor ads, and more.
Write hooks, on-screen text, voiceover lines, and CTAs for paid ads.
Build ad concepts and variants that test a clear hypothesis.
Turn one angle into many executions without losing the core idea.
Write creator briefs for UGC ads.
Diagnose performance across the three layers and apply findings into the next round.
Attention
(hook rate, hold rate),
Engagement
(CTR, CPC),
Conversion
(CPA, ROAS, CVR, AOV)
What we care about
You have good taste and strong opinions.
You can write well and persuasively. We are looking for a talented copywriter for this position.
You understand pacing well within the context of paid social ads (why some ads feel long at :06 and others hold your attention to :30)
You think in angles and audiences, not merely \"ad ideas.\"
You've worked on paid social before (in-house, agency, or freelance).
You can take feedback well.
You can be wrong quickly and improve quickly.
You believe speed beats polish in early testing (a pile of rough iPhone videos beats one perfect hero ad that takes a month to produce)
You're online enough to be tapped into what people care about.
You can work with art directors, editors, and media buyers across the full creative process.
How you’ll be evaluated

Nice-to-haves (not required)

You can produce graphics at a basic level.
You’ve created content before.
You\’ve written for TikTok/Reels/Shorts
ads
