POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Manager and Vice President of Building Operations, the Event Set-up Technician assists in the set-up and tear down of chairs, tables, and other equipment for events held at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set-up and tear down of chairs, tables, stage, dance floors and other equipment.
Light janitorial duties.
Parking lot and grounds inspection and light clean-up.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be available to work night and weekend shifts (typically 3 – 6 hours) as needed
General knowledge of space planning
Dependable transportation
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand; must have visual acuity to read and draft reports, memorandums, and other printed matter, and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee will work year-round in both an office environment and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment varies from quiet to loud; situations characteristic to working with school-age children are common; and travel to other sites within the metropolitan area are possible.
