Construo Recruitment are working with a fast-growing construction and project management business who are looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function across their construction projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual with a strong quantity surveying and contractual background to take ownership of the commercial strategy and delivery of schemes across the Northwest.

The Role
As Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in both pre-construction and live project delivery. You will provide expert commercial leadership from tender stage through to final account, ensuring the company’s commercial position is safeguarded at all times. You will also oversee contract management, subcontract procurement, and commercial reporting, while mentoring junior team members and driving best practice across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Tendering, pre-construction and contract management

Procurement and subcontract negotiations

Commercial reporting, CVRs, valuations & change management

Safeguarding commercial risk and supporting project teams

Skills & Experience

Degree in Quantity Surveying (MRICS preferred)

Proven experience as a Senior QS/Commercial Manager with a main contractor

Strong knowledge of JCT & NEC contracts

Excellent negotiation, financial and client-facing skills
