Superman Short Film Inquiries
.
Hello aspiring filmmakers! Apply today for the main producer/production manager behind my Superman short film! This short film is a recreation of a scene from Superman (2025) between Clark Kent and Lois Lane. The scene takes place in Lois' apartment as her and Clark conduct a mock interview before things go south fairly quickly. The script is available online, but I also have a copy of the specific scene that'll be utilized in this recreation.
To clarify, this project is being run by
a first-time filmmaker
(19-years-old) trying to make a name for himself. As the main actor, this will be my first official time being on any set with a crew, actor, and other members of a film set. As such, my inexperience will be shared with anyone who applies. Whether you're also a first-time filmmaker or someone who's worked in the industry before, you're all more than welcome to apply! However, specifically for producer/production manager, I'd greatly prefer that you have prior film experience being on a set and working with tight deadlines before submitting your application.
The details listed below describe your main responsibility onset and what you'll offer for being a part of this project.
-------------------
Responsibilities
As producer/production manager, you'll work in tandem with the main actor, Jason Ramjas (myself), to make this scene come to life. Your role will involve, but not be limited to, handling scheduling, call times, location permissions, props, food/water, and ensuring an overall smooth, film experience. With the creative vision, skill, and technique you possess, this project can be brought to life in ways that are similar to the original film.
Here are some expected responsibilities outside of being the main producer on set that are expected of all applicants:
Maintain a safe and work-friendly environment.
Dedicate yourself to the material as much as possible.
Be creatively intuned with the script and open to new ideas from the crew.
Conduct yourself with respect towards the actors, crew, and other set members.
Filming
The
deadline
for this application is
June 20th.
By that time, I will decide who the right producer is via email, LinkedIn, or a Zoom meeting depending on your applications.
I'd like principal photography to begin in July, with shooting happening on the weekends due to my summer schedule.
[HIGH PRIORITY]:
Due to the scene taking place in an apartment-style complex, we'll need to find a location near the University of Central Florida for shooting to take place in. The area, if possible,
should be on campus . As a resident on-campus currently, this is my best option for efficiently getting to and from set daily. If you or anyone else knows somebody with an apartment complex available to film in, please reach out as soon as possible! Ensure that the location matches the original apartment from the film (doesn't have to be 1-to-1, but similar enough).
Qualifications
This position is open to all talent that's willing to dedicate themselves entirely to making this the best recreation it can be. However, there are also a baseline of recommended qualifications to help you stand out.
A love for the Superman character, mythos, and media
(movies, comics, TV shows).

As a final note, this is
a passion project
that is simply being made from a desire to pursue filmmaking. I only expect filmming to take place across 1-2 weekends, so I'd like to make the most out of this experience. Thank you all for your time! xsgimln Good luck and I wish you all the best of luck with your applications!
