Description
NOTE: This opportunity is open only to designers who have already received an official offer from CTC’s Managing Director. Applications from individuals who have not received an offer are not eligible for consideration.

A Chautauqua Theater Company Mainstage Designer shall design the scenic, costume, lighting, sound or projection elements of the play. The designer will attend design and production meetings and be in residence for all technical rehearsals and preview performances.

Compensation
Designer’s total compensation for the production shall be $2,500.

Responsibilities

Design the production elements for the play (either scenic, costume, lighting, sound or projections).

Attend design and production meetings.

Attend all technical rehearsals and preview performances.

Consult with the Mainstage Director and the Chautauqua Theater Company’s Producing Artistic Director.

Schedule
Seasonal employment during summer operations starting annually each June and concluding in August. The schedule typically includes evenings, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs. The designer is expected to work an average of 48 hours per week.

Living on the Grounds
Employer-provided housing and parking. Housing includes a private bedroom and shared living space.
