Area Business Development Manager – South Central U.S.

Location: Houston, Texas area

Travel: Approximately 60% during the first three months; 35–40% after training

Compensation: Base salary of approximately $160,000–$170,000 with variable incentive compensation up to $210,000–$215,000 at plan, plus overachievement bonuses. Equity is included upon completion of training.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Area Business Development Manager to lead growth across the South Central U.S. region, based in the Houston, Texas area. This individual will be responsible for driving business development efforts within the interventional medicine market and building strong customer relationships across key clinical settings.

The ideal candidate will bring 5–10 years of sales experience in interventional medicine , with direct exposure to one or more of the following markets:

Interventional Radiology

Structural Heart

CVOR Labs

Local market knowledge and established relationships in the Houston/South Central region are highly valued and may be a deciding factor when evaluating similarly qualified candidates. Prior people leadership experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a regional business development strategy to drive revenue growth across the South Central U.S.

Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, clinicians, hospital administrators, and other key stakeholders.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the interventional medicine market.

Manage a high level of field activity, including customer visits, presentations, and relationship development.

Collaborate closely with internal partners to support account strategy, training, and customer success.

Maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer needs.

Serve as a trusted regional resource and brand ambassador.

Support territory planning and prioritization to maximize business impact.

When applicable, provide informal or direct leadership support to peers or other team members.

Required Qualifications

5–10 years of sales experience in interventional medicine

Experience selling into one or more of the following: Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, EP, Structural Heart, CVOR Labs

Proven track record of building relationships and driving sales growth

Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Ability to travel extensively, especially during the initial training period

Based in or near the Houston, Texas area

Preferred Qualifications

Prior people leadership experience

Established local knowledge and relationships within the South Central Texas market

Experience working in a highly regulated medical or clinical environment

Consistent record of exceeding sales goals
