Athletic Communications Department:
Operating proactively and collaboratively as part of Lafayette College's Communications Division, the Athletic Communications Department serves to publicize and promote Lafayette through the College's 23 NCAA Division I sports. Utilizing strategic public relations, marketing and communications efforts, Lafayette's outstanding student-athletes are showcased for their incredible balance of athletic endeavors and academic pursuits.
Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Video Production Manager, the Video Production Assistant will work on content creation in a variety of formats:
Develop unique and exciting videos (hype videos, postgame reports, press conference recaps, previews, other non-live content) for various outlets, including our YouTube channel, all Lafayette Leopards social media channels (Facebook, X, Instagram, etc.), the Kirby Sports Center and Fisher Stadium Video Boards, Lafayette Sports Network promotional content, etc.
Create new ideas for videos on social media, videos used in live productions
Assist in file management (video logging, post-game organization)
Research and review promotional strategies of peer organizations and integrate new ideas and content pieces when appropriate
Assist in continuing to curate a brand for Lafayette Athletics
Increasing non-gameday content to promote Lafayette's mission and core values
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Efficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut X, Experience in Adobe After Effects preferred
Experience in Live sport productions
Experience with NewTek Products (Tricaster, 3 PLAY, NC I/O), and SimplyLive preferred but not required
Social media savvy
Background/experience in post production
Passion for college athletics
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Knowledge of JVC Pro cameras, and filming non-live events
Preferred knowledge of Sony and Canon cameras
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
