Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite)

Shift: 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM M-F

We are seeking an experienced

Controls Engineer III

to support the design, installation, startup, and commissioning of advanced manufacturing equipment within a high-volume production environment.

Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
7+ years of Controls Engineering experience
Strong experience with:
PLC Programming (Rockwell preferred)
HMI & SCADA Systems (FactoryTalk View, Optix, Ignition)
Industrial Automation & Machine Control Systems
Electrical Design & AutoCAD Electrical
Motion Control Systems
Ethernet/IP & EtherCAT Communications
Machine Safety Design (ISO 13849-1 & 2)

Responsibilities:
Lead controls engineering activities for automation and capital projects
Design and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA-based automation solutions
Support equipment installation, startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning
Review electrical schematics, panel layouts, control xsgimln architectures, and integration documentation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Mechanical, Electrical, IT, Facilities, and Operations
Provide technical leadership to contractors, machine builders, and system integrators
Travel:
Up to 50% travel to Client facilities in Hickory and Wilmington, NC
