Position SummaryThe Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing strategic internal communications initiatives that support employee engagement, leadership messaging, and organizational alignment within the Osage Nation. This position ensures employees receive timely, clear, and consistent information from executive leadership and departments across the Nation, with a heavy focus on cross-departmental communication, awareness, and collaboration.Key ResponsibilitiesInternal Strategy & PlanningDevelop and implement an internal communications strategyCreate an annual internal communications calendarDraft internal memos, announcements, and talking pointsSupport executive messaging to staffCoordinate all-employee updatesManage internal newsletter(s)Develop internal campaignsPromote employee initiatives and recognitionSupport culture-building effortsDevelop internal email campaignsEnsure consistency across departmentsCreate internal FAQs and toolkitsAssist in internal crisis communicationsEnsure staff are informed during emergenciesTrack engagement metricsConduct internal surveysProvide reporting and recommendationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience3+ years of communications experienceExperience in internal or organizational communications preferredGovernment or tribal government experience preferred
