ABCLC Communication and Marketing Specialist VISTA

This project will break the cycle of poverty by allowing the accessibility of learning programming to more families whose children are not connected to the educational opportunities needed to successfully participate in society. AB Christian Learning Center in collaboration with Read Fort Worth is helping to ensure that all children are ready to learn when they enter kindergarten, and read on grade level by third grade. This VISTA project will expand services to at‑risk communities with the goal of increasing the number of economically disadvantaged families transitioning from poverty to self‑sufficiency.

Member Duties

Develop best practices and methods to communicate to vulnerable communities about programs, resources, and opportunities.

Develop and refine ABCLC’s communication policies and procedures.

Improve the organization’s internal and external communication.

Enhance marketing of resource information and opportunities.

Review and evaluate email, phone, and internet communications for best practices.

Develop a schedule/calendar for social media posts.

Create templates for staff to use for posts.

Review and refine the organization’s monthly newsletter template.
