Communication Specialist VISTA

The Communication Specialist VISTA will strengthen TSF's organizational capacity by designing, improving, and implementing sustainable communications systems that improve how the organization captures stories, manages media assets, shares program impact, and engages community stakeholders. Through the development of a more efficient and comprehensive communications infrastructure—including editorial calendars, media management systems, storytelling protocols, outreach templates, engagement tracking tools, and sustainability documentation—the VISTA will increase TSF's capacity to raise awareness of programs that improve educational and nutritional outcomes and economic mobility for low‑income youth and families.

Member Duties

Assess current communication practices and identify opportunities to improve long‑term organizational capacity.

Develop a centralized system for managing photos, bios, interview assets, and organizational resources.

Create editorial calendars, communication workflows, and standardized templates for newsletters, impact stories, press releases, social media, donor communications, and outreach materials.

Establish story collection procedures, interview guides, consent protocols, and content submission processes.

Attend community events and outreach opportunities to identify storytelling themes and audience engagement strategies.

Develop and refine outreach toolkits that support communication with partners.
