Learn more about the company at www.pafco.net.POSITION SUMMARY:The Senior Production Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all production planning, scheduling, and inventory control activities within a seafood processing environment. This role ensures efficient utilization of raw fish supply, maintains product freshness and quality, and aligns production with customer demand while minimizing waste and operational costs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and manage the production planning team for daily, weekly, and long-term schedulingDevelop production plans based on demand forecasts, raw material availability, and capacity constraintsCoordinate closely with Procurement to align fresh fish supply with production needsEnsure proper handling of perishable inventory, minimizing spoilage and maximizing yieldMonitor and adjust production schedules in real time due to supply variability (e.g., catch volumes, seasonality)Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with food safety regulations (FDA, HACCP, USDA where applicable)Optimize inventory levels for fresh, frozen, and processed seafood productsAnalyze production performance, KPIs, and implement continuous improvement initiativesWork cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Logistics, and Warehousing teamsLead ERP/MRP planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) for production and inventory managementDrive cost reduction strategies while maintaining product quality and service levelsManage workforce planning in coordination with production supervisorsPrepare reports on production efficiency, waste, and fulfillment performanceQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field (master’s preferred)7+ years of production planning experience, preferably in seafood, food processing, or perishable goods3+ years in a leadership or managerial roleStrong knowledge of perishable inventory management and cold chain logisticsExperience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)Understanding of HACCP, FDA, and food safety standardsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skillsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilitiesBENEFITS:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insuranceEXPERIENCE:Leadership: 3 years (Required)Production planning: 7 years (Required)LANGUAGE:Spanish (Preferred)SHIFT AVAILABILITY:Day Shift (Preferred)Night Shift (Preferred)
