Summary

A Fall Musical Director manages the creative and logistical operations of a school or community theater production. Responsibilities encompass interpreting the script, leading auditions and casting, coordinating rehearsals, and overseeing technical teams (sets, lighting, and costumes) to deliver a cohesive stage performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sets all rehearsal and performance schedule of activities.
Attends all rehearsals and performances.
Reports any problems or concerns to the Activities Director.
Attends meetings as required by Activities Director.
Maintain care of equipment and facilities.
Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate judgment in behavior, speech, dress, and appropriate professional manner for the work setting.
Demonstrates effective human relations and communication skills.
Adheres to good safety practices.
Adheres to all district rules, regulations, and polices.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Understanding of both vocal and instrumental stylings
Understanding of how to lead pit band in musical theatre performances
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

CPR and First Aid certified
Missouri Teacher Certificate and/or DESE Substitute Certificate
