Drawing Within with Derek "Sky" Simon

Overview Through mixed-media means of character design, adult learners are guided through the process of creating symbolic figures reflecting inner thoughts, emotional truths, and personal narratives. This workshop blends discussion, collage and illustration (and optional digital tools) to explore how a single character can carry meaning across visual formats such as comics, paintings, zines, and more. This class meets for 4 Saturdays this fall.
