Business Development Manager
National Coatings & Supplies Inc./Single Source Inc. is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to research and analyze business opportunities, consistent with the organization's long range and strategic plans. Annual salary up to $120,000 per year DOE.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for improving company sales and profits through coordinating efforts to gain business
Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and respond accordingly
Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key decision makers
Oversee the development and maintenance of annual budgets at the store level for the stores (if any) that are assigned
Regularly meet with Supervisor to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers
Serve in a sales and consulting capacity; working with other BDM's on National Accounts as required
Mentor store staff and TMS's by establishing and implementing goals and objectives in line with the company goals to increase profit revenue for the region.
Responsible for keeping abreast of development plans of existing clients, and have a very good understanding of contract terms and provisions.
Complete scheduled and cold call prospecting activities to establish first and follow up appointments with customer decision makers
Assist with other duties/departments as needed
Qualifications & Education Requirements
Associates Degree in related field of Sales or Business Management
4 year degree or more preferred
4-6 years of experience in sales with a proven record of achieving objectives and overcoming objections
Paint coating industry experience strongly preferred
Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies
Proven sales track record
Strong negotiating and closing skills
Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Must be organized with good time management skills
Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
Preferred Skills
The ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Additional Notes
This position will be required to travel up to 75% of the time.
