Temporary Lead Editor / Post Production Supervisor (Full‑time Monday‑Friday, 3‑Month)The New York Post video team is seeking a savvy Temp Lead Editor / Post Production Supervisor well versed in long‑form digital formats to help create compelling, shareable news videos. This role will be responsible for executing stories from conception through completion and requires solid experience pitching, researching, reporting and editing journalistic and documentary content.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce and edit long‑form digital news and documentary‑style video content from concept through final deliveryPitch original video ideas across news, pop culture, societal trends, and tabloid‑driven storiesConduct in‑depth research, reporting, and interviews to develop compelling and accurate storytellingScript and structure engaging, shareable content optimized for YouTube and digital audiencesEdit high‑volume video content quickly using Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere and PhotoshopCollaborate with cross‑functional teams while applying strong editorial judgment in a fast‑paced newsroom environmentQualifications5+ years of experience working with a news companyStrong writing skills for storytelling and headlinesExperience creating YouTube videos for digital platformsBackground in journalism and the ability to pitch, produce, and scriptAbility to locate and interview subjectsSolid editorial judgmentStrong news judgment, good writing skills, knowledge of current events and excellent communication and people skillsExpertise with key productions in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, and familiarity with After Effects)Strong aesthetic eye and cinematic tendenciesEnjoy working collaboratively and accurately in a fast‑paced but fun environmentAttention to detailBase Pay Range: $1,923/week – $2,307/weekEqual Opportunity EmployerAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status or any other protected characteristic.
