DescriptionThe Assistant Athletic Director for Fan Engagement, SportsMarketing and Promotions will work directly with the DeputyDirector Athletics Director for External Affairs to develop andimplement comprehensive marketing plans to drive revenue andattendance for Hampton Pirates Athletics. This position willleverage traditional and digital marketing and advertising tacticsincluding email campaigns, paid media, lead generation, andcommunity outreach to grow the Hampton Pirates fan base in theHampton Roads area. This role will be work closely with otherexternal units to accomplish department goals of increasing ticketsales, fundraising, and sponsorship revenue.Examples of DutiesLead development and execution of marketing plans to driverevenue and attendance for home events for Hampton Pirates varsitysportsCreate comprehensive advertising and marketing strategies todrive ticket revenue for football, men's basketball and women'sbasketballOversee all in-game elements for home events with leadership onfootball games; writing scripts and timelines to coordinatepromotions, presentations, videoboard, music, entertainment,etc.Assist in the recruiting, training and scheduling of graduateassistants and undergraduate marketing staff.Leverage traditional advertising with digital and social mediamarketing campaigns (website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)Work with ticket sales and service staff to create emailmarketing strategyCollaborate with sponsorship staff to create valuable inventoryand ensure activations are executed and tracked appropriatelyServe as the primary contact for community outreach requests(mascot appearances, donation requests, etc.)Embodies the Hampton University core values: integrity,respect, decency, dignity, and responsibility.Performs other duties as assigned.Typical QualificationsBachelor's degree in marketing or sports management4+ years of previous relevant experience in marketing, ticketsales, and/or Fan ExperienceExtensive functional knowledge of marketingExperience collaborating with coaches and serving studentathletes.Strong interpersonal and communication skillsPresentation, planning and project management skills.A knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations with a history ofcompliancePreferred QualificationsMaster's DegreeExperience using the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, focus onPhotoshop and PremiereExperience leading and supervising the work of junior staff andinterns.A demonstrated commitment to innovation and creativitySkills to think critically of new ideas that can supportstrategic plan development and execution.#J-18808-Ljbffr
