The RSM reports to the Manager and is responsible for executing territory sales plans, building distributor relationships, and driving sales growth.Summary / ObjectiveWe are seeking an experienced, results‑driven sales professional who is highly motivated, well‑organized, and a self‑starter. The Regional Sales Manager will implement and manage a state sales strategy by brand and area, manage distributors, and develop relationships with chains, restaurants, and retailers in the region.Essential FunctionsDefining and executing territory sales plansDevelop relationship with distributor management and sales forceStrong knowledge of Off Premise Chain businessKnowledge of the territory and key accounts (ON/OFF Premise)Work in the field to visit key accounts, on and off premise, and chainsDevelop and implement pricing, programming and sales incentives within company budgetsWork effectively with distributor managers and reps and key accounts to achieve company goalsConduct sales meetings and training seminars for distributor salespeopleConduct on premise staff trainings, in‑store tastings at retail stores, educational seminars to customers and consumers, and establish and maintain solid relationships with key accountsAbility to upsell and sell additional products/services into existing clientsLiaison activities between the company and local chain accounts, retailers, restaurantsProvide weekly/monthly updates to managementAttend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars and trade showsMaintain and compile data collected during strategic planning sessionsManage, review and approve chargeback and incentive expenses monthly or quarterlyExceptional communication skills – articulate with strong public‑speaking ability and excellent written skillsDevelop positive relationships with other employees in Marketing, Administration, Logistics, Finance and other departmentsStrong abilities within Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); iDig is a plusPrepare written presentations, reports and price quotationsAssist in contract negotiationsCustomer/Client focusOrganizational & time‑management skillsBusiness acumenFinancial analysis skillsResults driven / initiativePresentation skillsRequired Education and Experience7+ years of solid experience in the wine industryDistributor sales management with over 5 years of experience is a mustAdvanced training in sales skillsKnowledge of the territory and key accounts (ON/OFF Premise)Understanding and ability to improve and grow sales in all areas of the businessExcellent communication and presentation skills – articulate with strong public‑speaking ability; must interact with all levels of management and personnelStrong strategic analysis skillsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and knowledge of iDigThis job operates from the employee's home in a professional office environment as the base, with outside sales as the predominant work environment.
