Next Generation Director (Children & Youth)The Next Generation Director provides spiritual leadership, discipleship and oversight for children and youth ministries (K-12 grade). This role partners with parents, volunteers and church leadership to nurture the children and students in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, consistent with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) and the beliefs of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.This position begins as part-time and may expand in hours or transition to full-time in the future as the ministry grows and the church is able to support that expansion.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead children and youth in age appropriate biblical teaching and discipleshipModel a Christ‑centered life consistent with Baptist beliefs, scripture, the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) and the beliefs of Ridgecrest Baptist ChurchEncourage spiritual growth, service, and faith developmentMinistry OversightPlan and oversee Sunday and Wednesday children and youth ministriesLead or coordinate youth gatherings at least monthly to coordinate with the church calendarSelect and implement biblically sound curriculum approved by the Pastor and/or church leadershipMaintain a safe, welcoming and well‑organized ministry environmentCreate and maintain annual budgets for children and youth and administer funds in accordance with church policyCoordinate outreach and in‑reach ministryCoordinate VBS, Easter events, fall festival, DNow, events away from the church facility and other yearly events as assignedPlan, supervise and attend children and youth campsVolunteer LeadershipRecruit, train and support volunteers for children and youth ministriesSchedule volunteers and provide clear communicationEnsure compliance with church child‑safety policy and background checksFamily & Church PartnershipCommunicate regularly with parents regarding lessons, events and ministry updatesPartner with parents as the primary disciples of their childrenWork collaboratively with the Pastor, church leadership and church volunteersCoordinate, plan and receive advice from youth and children councilTime CommitmentIncludes Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights and additional gatherings as scheduledHours may increase in the future based on ministry growth and church approvalCompensationPaid, part‑time positionSalary commensurate with experience and responsibilitiesAnnual review with potential for expanded hours or future full‑time considerationFuture Growth OpportunityChildren and youth ministry attendance increasesVolunteer teams expandFinancial support allows growthThe church and personnel committee discern readiness for expansionExpansion is not guaranteed and would require church approvalQualificationsA clear personal faith in Jesus ChristAgreement with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) and the beliefs of Ridgecrest Baptist ChurchDemonstrates a calling to children and youth ministryExperience working with children and youth (paid and/or volunteer)Strong relational, communication and organizational skillsAbility to recruit and lead volunteersWillingness to complete background screeningWillingness to join Ridgecrest Baptist ChurchWillingness to have had or to have Baptism by emersionA positive and thankful attitudeAccountabilitySpiritually this position is under the supervision of the PastorEvaluated annually by personnel teamDuties of this position were established by the personnel team; any questions or concerns should be addressed by the personnel chairmanThe children and youth council's are in place to provide support, advice and assistance as needed#J-18808-Ljbffr
