Major Duties and Responsibilities

Works with Senior Management to develop and manage marketing campaigns from conception, execution, and measurement. Develops marketing program business plans, creates timelines, sets budgets, develops strategies, tactics, and execution plans.

Ensures that marketing promotions meet or exceed set objectives.

Work with management to establish, implement and evaluate short and long range goals, objectives and priorities for the Credit Union's advertising, promotions, market research and public relations functions.

Analyze market trends and demographic data concerning potential members, products, and services. Keep abreast of changing trends in the marketplace so that the credit union may react quickly. Ensure effective communication of marketing programs to all staff.

Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action. Ensure that the marketing department is providing transparency, accountability, and data-driven research in pursuit of company business goals and objectives.

Achieves financial objectives by establishing objectives; developing budgets; controlling costs; maximizing use of assets. Ensure continuing analysis to measure and improve services.

Represents the credit union at external functions and is the credit union spokesperson.

Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Knowledge and Skills

Experience: 2-5 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

Education/Certifications/Licenses: A 4-year college degree.

Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to patiently communicate and motivate at all levels of the organization. Ability to stay calm in stressful situations. Writes and speaks effectively, uses conventions proper to the situation; demonstrates openness and honesty; listens well during meetings and feedback sessions; explains reasoning behind own opinions; asks others for their opinions and feedback; asks questions to ensure understanding; exercises a professional approach with others using all appropriate tools of communication; uses consideration and tact when offering opinions. Keeps confidential information confidential. Relationships with external contacts are vital, not only for the success of the position, but the success of the company overall. Work involves extensive personal contact with members of the Board of Directors, community leaders, business leaders, and internal managers.
