CANDIDATES WITHOUT HANDS‑ON EXPERIENCE DOCUMENTING ELECTRICAL OR POWER SYSTEMS HARDWARE (BESS, SWITCHGEAR, GENERATORS, OR COMPLEX ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLIES) WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.Job PurposeJoin our engineering and production teams as a Technical Writer to create clear, accurate, and compliant documentation supporting e2Companies Virtual Utility systems including Battery Energy Storage Systems, power generation equipment, and microgrid solutions. This role supports mission‑critical energy systems where accuracy and clarity in technical documentation directly impact safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.ResponsibilitiesAuthor and maintain technical manuals, installation guides, operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals, service procedures, and test documentation for BESS and power generation systemsDocument physical system assembly, wiring, installation, and field commissioning proceduresDevelop user friendly, step‑by‑step instructions and safety documentation for field technicians, operators, and customersInterpret and translate engineering drawings, BOMs, and electrical layouts into technician‑ready documentationWork directly on documentation tied to manufactured equipment and field‑deployed systemsCreate and standardize document templates, style guides, and documentation processesSupport safety documentation, labeling requirements, and compliance submittals for UL 9540, UL 1973, NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, NFPA 855, and other applicable standardsCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and field service teams to gather information and verify accuracyParticipate in engineering design reviews and ensure documentation reflects as‑built systems and latest revisionsMaintain documentation libraries and manage version control within the company PLM systemTranslate complex engineering concepts into clear content for both technical and non‑technical audiencesCreate documentation that supports mission‑critical systems including BESS, power generation assets, and microgrid controlsContinuously improve documentation processes, readability, and compliance with industry best practicesBasic Qualifications (Must‑have)Associate or Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Engineering Technology, or a related field3 or more years of technical writing experience in manufacturing, energy, utilities, or power systems environmentsDirect experience creating technical documentation for electrical power systems hardware, including BESS, microgrids, generators, switchgear, or similar industrial equipmentAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, one‑line diagrams, control narratives, and system specificationsStrong technical writing and editing skills with excellent command of English grammarProficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with structured authoring tools is a plusStrong attention to detail with proven document control skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environmentPreferred Qualifications (Nice‑to‑have)Working knowledge of UL 9540, UL 1973, NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and NFPA 855Experience with Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, Ixiasoft, Paligo, or similar documentation toolsFamiliarity with PLM or document control systems such as Autodesk Vault, Arena, or PropelBasic graphics editing skills and ability to interpret technical drawings and BOMsBenefitsCompetitive compensation aligned with experience and impactPTO and paid sick time to support work‑life balanceComprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverageEquity participation through the Employee Incentive ProgramChildcare assistance up to $300 per monthThe opportunity to grow with a rapidly scaling energy and infrastructure companyA performance‑driven, team‑oriented culture with regular events and community initiativesRelocation assistance for highly qualified candidates moving to Southwest Floridae2Companies LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
