Womenswear Technical Designer

Insomnia Visuals is one of the fastest-growing alternative fashion brands in the space, reaching millions of people online and through major retail partners in malls across America.(IG: @insomnia / www.insomniavisuals.com)We are looking for someone with a strong technical background and understanding of garment construction, fit, and product development to join our growing womenswear team. This is an on-site role based in Los Angeles.You will be working directly with our apparel design team and product development manager.RESPONSIBILITIESEvaluate samples for spec accuracy, garment construction, fit, and overall qualityParticipate in fit sessions while taking detailed fit notes and identifying correctionsCommunicate corrections and fit comments clearly to vendors through diagrams, photos, and email communicationManage tech packs within the PLM system and track samples to maintain organization throughout developmentCreate technical flat sketchesManage multiple deadlines and stay organized in a fast-paced environmentWHY THIS ROLE IS SPECIALYou will help shape the future of our womenswear category from the ground upYou'll work on products that actually reach a massive audienceYou'll have direct influence on fit, quality, washes, and overall product directionWe care deeply about silhouette, fabrication, and detail.
