Our client is hiring for an

Associate Knits & Sweaters Designer

to join the team in New York! This is a temporary contract role. Hours are full-time.

Responsibilities:
Create and update CADs, design boards, and presentation materials.
Conduct research on seasonal trends, colors, patterns, fabrications, and competitive landscape, focused on women’s & men’s apparel.
Support material, trim, and artwork development, ensuring alignment with seasonal direction.
Work closely with cross-functional partners (Merchants, Production, Technical Design, Graphics) to ensure design feasibility, cost targets, and on-brand execution.
Maintain design files, seasonal libraries, line sheets, and style trackers with accuracy and timeliness in the PLM system.
Support with fittings, sample reviews, lab dips, print strike-offs, trims, and approvals throughout the development process.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in apparel design.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office; experience with PLM systems is a plus.
Strong sense of color, proportion, and garment construction.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
