Program Coordinator – Faculty Development
The Program Coordinator serves within the USF Health Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs Division of Faculty Development and is responsible for coordinating operational and programmatic activities that support faculty across the academic lifecycle. The position works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the implementation of a portfolio of faculty development programs, supporting consistent delivery, high‑quality participant experience, and measurable outcomes. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills to manage multiple concurrent programs and support institutional reporting. The Program Coordinator plays a critical role in advancing faculty success, promoting engagement, and supporting strategic priorities related to faculty retention, promotion, leadership development, and research advancement. The position requires flexibility to support programming that may occur outside of standard business hours and reports to the OFAA Office Administrator.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the planning and execution of a comprehensive portfolio of faculty development programs across USF Health, including research career development, leadership development, mentorship initiatives, mid‑career programming, professionalism education, and targeted workshops.
Ensure seamless delivery by managing schedules, logistics, and distribution of program materials, and participant engagement for both one‑time and longitudinal programs.
Serve as a central point of contact for faculty, leadership, and program participants, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across colleges and units.
Coordinate the development and dissemination of clear, timely communications related to program offerings, requirements, and outcomes, while ensuring strong engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate day‑to‑day operational activities to support faculty development programs, including maintaining program calendars, coordinating logistics, and supporting faculty and guest facilitators.
Ensure alignment with institutional policies and standards while establishing consistent workflows to support quality, scalability, and efficiency across program offerings.
Collect and track program data, including participation and feedback, to support OFAA leadership in assessing effectiveness and informing continuous improvement.
Prepare reports and summaries for leadership, supporting data‑driven decision‑making and demonstrating the impact of faculty development initiatives.
Provide operational and analytical support for the ongoing development and refinement of faculty development programming.
Support the identification of emerging needs, implementation of new initiatives, and alignment of program activities with institutional priorities related to faculty success, leadership development, and research advancement.

Standard business hours with flexibility required for early morning or occasional evening programs/events.
Hybrid/office‑based environment with occasional travel across USF campuses.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree – or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field (four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree).
Compliance with Senate Bill 1310: equal admission of work experience to postsecondary education requirements as outlined.
Florida state law requires eligibility for employment in the U.S. and fulfillment of all related requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in academic medicine, higher education, or faculty affairs.
Prior experience coordinating professional development or training programs.
Experience supporting multi‑stakeholder environments (faculty, leadership, external partners).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Teams and event or program management systems.
