Program Coordinator – USF Health The Program Coordinator serves within the USF Health Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs (OFAA) Division of Faculty Development and is responsible for coordinating operational and programmatic activities that support faculty across the academic lifecycle. The position collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support a portfolio of faculty development programs, ensuring high‑quality participant experience and measurable outcomes. The coordinator manages multiple concurrent programs, supports institutional reporting, and promotes faculty success, engagement, and strategic priorities related to retention, promotion, leadership development, and research advancement. The role requires flexibility to support activities outside standard business hours and reports to the OFAA Office Administrator.
Responsibilities Coordinate planning and execution of a comprehensive portfolio of faculty development programs including research career development, leadership development, mentorship initiatives, mid‑career programming, professionalism education, and targeted workshops.
Manage schedules, logistics, and distribution of program materials; engage participants; support both one‑time and longitudinal program offerings.
Act as central point of contact for faculty, leadership, and participants; facilitate communication and collaboration across colleges and units.
Disseminate clear, timely communications regarding program offerings, requirements, and outcomes.
Maintain program calendars, coordinate logistics, and support faculty and guest facilitators.
Collect and track program data, including participation and feedback; prepare reports and summaries for leadership and support data‑driven decision‑making.
Provide operational and analytical support for the development and refinement of faculty development programming; identify emerging needs and align activities with institutional priorities.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field (Four years of direct experience counts as a bachelor’s degree).
Project and program management skills to coordinate multiple programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in academic medicine, higher education, or faculty affairs.
Prior experience coordinating professional development or training programs.
Experience supporting multi‑stakeholder environments (faculty, leadership, external partners).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and event or program management systems.
Work Schedule & Conditions Standard business hours with flexibility required.
Early morning or occasional evening programs/events.
Hybrid/office‑based environment with occasional travel across USF campuses.
