Job Summary: Assist Senior Director with day‑to‑day management of office, grants, trainings, screenings, and general office operations. Provide administrative support to the SAAVE office, including compiling, recording, and analyzing data for grant applications, grant reporting, and management meetings. Supervise in‑house advocacy staff, including scheduling, training, data reporting, office coverage, and client follow‑up.
Provide 24/7 consultations and troubleshooting for volunteer and staff advocates when questions arise during a case. Manage volunteers for FACT accompaniment, LAP lines, and Hotline, including recruiting, training, hospital onboarding, and scheduling. Provide crisis intervention counseling, accompaniment, advocacy, information, and referral services to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence and secondary survivors.
Accompany survivors to the hospital, police, district attorney’s office, and court. Represent SAAVE in community meetings and teleconference calls.
Responsibilities

Accompany Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Intimate Partner Violence victims to medical/forensic exams, court, police stations, and other appointments as needed.
Provide information, referrals, practical assistance, and crisis intervention to victims.
Conduct screenings in hospital for various types of victimology.
Conduct client‑centered safety assessments and safety planning suited to the individual’s needs.
Provide and/or oversee all crisis interventions, supportive listening, and case management for all victims.
Assist with applying for compensation through the New York State Office of Victims Services (OVS), including emergency HIV prophylaxis prescriptions.
Participate in implementation of countywide Lethality Assessment Program (LAP), including direct services, data collection, and reporting.
Provide information and referral for victims for services on Valhalla campus and to a network of off‑campus providers such as shelter, mental health treatment, medical care, and other entitlements.
Collaborate with police officers to effectively provide assistance to victims, including appointments and facilitate kit pick‑up.
Advocate with victim service providers, including Family and Criminal Court staff, for victims.
Provide victim follow‑up to ensure needs are met and address additional issues as they arise.
Assist in answering 254/7/365 on‑call calendar, including 24/7 crisis hotline, 24/7 LAP line, and 24/7 on‑call for forensic exam accompaniment.
Programmatic And Administrative Support

Maintain and monitor computerized data for accurate and timely grant management and reporting.
Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely case records and statistics.
Draft timely grant reports.
Maintain logs and forms for all program services offered (direct services, hotline, and LAP).
Coordinate weekly with Forensic Acute Care Team regarding cases and statistics.
Work collaboratively with program staff in the development of new protocols and practices.
Maintain programmatic documentation, including training manuals.
Maintain logs for additional training/certifications of staff and volunteer advocates.
Maintain accurate schedules for FACT accompaniment on‑call and hotline/LAP line shifts.
Maintain and monitor online training platform for onboarding of new volunteer advocates.
Maintain volunteer advocate paperwork and certifications for the program.
Schedule and coordinate team meetings and/or trainings for the program.
Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the SAAVE Program.
Help provide outreach, education, and training to departments within the hospital network and off‑campus to community agencies, schools, and colleges as needed.
Participate in staff, direct service, and supervision meetings; attend WMC Child Protection Committee, Westchester County Domestic Violence Council, NYS VAP weekly update meeting, and other meetings as necessary.
Engage in professional development trainings annually.
Qualifications / Requirements

Experience: Professional experience sufficient in scope, depth, and performance may serve in place of academic requirements.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Licenses / Certifications

Certification as SAAVE Rape Crisis Advocate required, pre‑certification and annual training required (training provided by SAAVE Program).
Certification as LAP advocate with Westchester County Domestic Violence High Risk Team required (training provided by SAAVE Program).
Other

Knowledge of victim‑centered and trauma‑informed care, crisis intervention techniques, and case management responsibilities; human behavior and needs at time of crime and crisis; behavioral health, social services, and other community resources; the criminal justice system, NY State Criminal Code and Rights of Victims, police department operations, policies and procedures. Ability to communicate with, supervise, and empower volunteers and staff to be effective in their roles—experience with volunteers preferred. Ability to work cooperatively with different personalities. Knowledge and experience in office management, data analysis, and computer skills, with emphasis on Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Webex, and internet research.
