Role: Developer – UX User Interface Professional
Supporting: Large Financial Services Client
Location: McLean, VA (Onsite)
Assignment Type: Contract Only
Duration: ~6 Months
Key Responsibilities:
Develop highly responsive, user-facing features using React, Redux, and TypeScript/JavaScript
Build reusable components and scalable front-end libraries
Translate business needs and design concepts into intuitive, high-quality UI experiences
Collaborate with DevOps, API, and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless solutions
Optimize components for performance and scalability
Create rich visualizations to present large volumes of financial data
Contribute to UI standards, code reviews, and front-end architecture decisions
Qualifications:
2+ years of UI development experience with strong expertise in React 18, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and SASS
Hands-on experience with Redux, RESTful APIs, and building Single Page Applications (SPAs)
Strong understanding of React fundamentals, component architecture, and state management
Experience with modern UI frameworks and libraries such as Material UI (MUI) and AG Grid
Familiarity with modern build tools (Vite.js, Webpack, Rollup) and dependency management
Experience working with browser debugging tools and code versioning (Git)
Ability to translate wireframes/designs into high-quality code (Figma experience preferred)
Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Nice to Have:
Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest and React Testing Library
Knowledge of Node.js and frontend build pipelines
Exposure to financial services environments
Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is between $40.00 and $54.00 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
