Represent the organization at community tabling events, resource fairs, and outreach activities.

Engage directly with community members to share disaster preparedness resources and promote LISTOS program initiatives.

Support outreach efforts targeting underserved and vulnerable populations through in-person engagement.

Assist in distributing materials, collecting community feedback, and supporting public-facing engagement efforts.

Support planning and execution of workshops, training, disaster preparedness events, and community expos.

Assist with full event logistics including setup, venue coordination, staffing, volunteer coordination, materials, and on-site execution.

Provide on-the-ground support during events to ensure smooth operations and positive participant experience.

Collaborate with team members to increase attendance and engagement at community events.

Assist the Program Manager in coordinating across internal departments, branch offices, volunteers, and external partners.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with community organizations, local agencies, and stakeholders.

Ensure clear and timely communication between teams to support alignment on outreach and event activities.

Participate in planning meetings and contribute to campaign and program strategy discussions.

Support social media posting strategies and digital communications aligned with program goals.

Create and manage content for social media platforms, newsletters, and program communications.

Maintain content calendars and ensure consistent messaging across digital channels.

Track and report engagement metrics to support evaluation of outreach effectiveness.

Support promotional efforts for community events through digital outreach and campaign coordination.

Collect and document outreach data, event participation, and engagement feedback.

Job Requirements

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to engage diverse communities in person and online.

Comfortable with public-facing roles including tabling and community engagement.

Strong organizational skills and ability to support multiple workstreams (events, outreach, coordination).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, Canva, and social media platforms.

Ability to track and interpret basic engagement or event data.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment.

Experience

Experience in community outreach, event support, program coordination, or public engagement preferred.

Experience supporting community events, tabling activities, or in-person outreach strongly preferred.

Familiarity with digital communications or social media coordination is a plus.

Knowledge of disaster preparedness or emergency response is a plus.

Language
English proficiency required, bilingual in English and/or Spanish/ Chinese preferred

Salary Range
$25/ hour

Hours
40 hours/week

Other
Grant-funded position ends on Dec 31, 2027
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and attend in-person community events.
