Job Description

Strategically plan and manage media across all media channels, segments and audiences for North America-based theme parks and experiences, including but not limited to, Universal Studios Hollywood. Effectively lead agency teams and build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Manage media budget details, including reconciliation and reporting to Finance, Brand, Leadership, and other internal stakeholders. Partner with analytics partners in utilization of data and analytics to inform media strategy. Serve as the Media SME in cross-functional teams and meetings.

Major Responsibilities **

Engage with Brand partners to understand business needs, translating to how paid media can support those needs; stay up to date on the status of the business, including key product launches and seasonal needs

Drive media strategy development & implementation, and ensure media plans stay fresh and effective as the business evolves and fluctuates, updating plans as needed

Develop and maintain strong relationships with agency partners and internal stakeholders; serve as the voice of media to internal partners, the Paid Media Subject Matter Expert (SME), communicating media plan details confidently in both written and presentation form

Proactively bring new ideas, opportunities and best practices to media strategies, ensuring media plans align with business needs and consumer behaviors

Partner with Analytics to ensure data integrity of inputs of paid media data into the MMM; translate MMM output to actionable and effective media strategy

Responsible for media budget accuracy and reporting to internal stakeholders and Finance

Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

Qualifications _

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required.

8+ years’ prior hands-on experience Media planning and/or buying, agency- or brand-side; experience working across various media types and platforms; in-depth understanding of the media marketplace required

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite required, with particular focus on experience with Excel & PowerPoint, or similar

Solid understanding and work experience with both online and offline media planning and buying

Experience in partnering with analytics teams and resourcing data & insights from measurement and analytics platforms to inform media strategy

Ability to provide “thought leadership” and creative problem solving when to dealing with strategic challenges to deliver on business goals.

Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, contributing from the Universal City office a minimum of four days per week.
