Job Description
Regional Director Wholesale, NE Region, Far Niente Wine Estates is responsible for leading wholesale sales performance across a defined geographic region, developing and executing regional strategies that drive revenue growth, strengthen distributor partnerships, and elevate brand presence in the market. This role provides leadership and direction to Northeastern District Managers, ensuring alignment with company objectives while building team capability and accountability. Through strong cross‑functional collaboration and data‑driven decision making, this role ensures consistent execution, long‑term market development, and achievement of regional business goals.

Position covers Maine to Virginia. Incumbent resides in the primary market of New York City.

Essential Responsibilities

Strategic & Business Leadership

Develop and execute regional market strategies and tactics aligned with company objectives, standards, and brand positioning.

Maintain knowledge of and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and distributor performance to identify growth opportunities.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

Coaches District Managers to strengthen sales capability and leadership effectiveness.

Identifies high‑potential talent and develops succession pipelines.

Distributor & Key Account Management

Builds strong strategic partnerships with distributor leadership.

Utilizes effective negotiation tactics to achieve favorable and fair outcomes for the company.

Operational Excellence

Develops accurate regional forecasts and sales plans.

Evaluates marketing and trade program ROI, makes recommendations on modifications desired.

Organizational Culture

Takes ownership of job responsibilities through focus, determination, and attention to detail, elevating team performance.

Works as a member of a highly functioning team, maintains professional and respectful dialogue with peers, and collaborates to identify positive outcomes.

Qualifications

Previous experience of 7 years in a related position with relative scope and oversight.

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, Public Relations, Marketing or similar.

Demonstrated ability to influence and hold stakeholders accountable across functions, strategic thinking with strong execution focus, high accountability and ownership mindset.

Decisiveness and sound judgment under pressure, strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Full body mobility, ability to ascend and descend stairs, and to lift up to 50 lbs.
