Webmaster Responsibilities
The school webmaster serves as the primary support contact for the school website communication and ParentSquare management. The position is responsible for assisting with the maintenance, organization, and consistency of the public-facing digital communications across the school and in alignment with the district, ensuring information is timely, accurate, accessible and aligned with district communication standards. This position reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Finance, Operations, and Technology or designee.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure organizational consistency with the interface (toolbars, etc.)
Attend the monthly communications/technology coordinator meetings during the school year. Schedule to be after school hours at a mutually agreed-upon, flexible, and needs-based schedule.
Responsible for acquiring updated photographs and posting them on the website
Available for general troubleshooting related to the website
Maintain familiarity with website (ParentSquare) updates and, when possible, attend ParentSquare workshops
Update back-to-school documents and links (e.g. handbook, forms, registration forms, school supply lists)
Set up new sections and hide/unhide pages based on need (e.g. summer academy) and assist with special initiatives
Collaborate with other school webmasters
