Pianist for Sundays

Role Description
This is an on-site Pianist role based in Pendleton, SC, specifically for Sunday services. The Pianist will be responsible for preparing and playing piano music during Sunday worship, accompaniments for congregational hymns, choir, and special music performances, as well as supporting the overall musical needs of the church. The role may also require occasional practice sessions and collaboration with clergy, music directors, and other musicians to ensure a cohesive and inspiring worship experience.

Qualifications

Expertise in Piano Performance and Pianist skills

Proficiency in Music and Music Performance

Strong knowledge of hymns and other worship music

Ability to collaborate with choir directors, church leadership, and other musicians

Strong attention to detail, including timing, tempo, and musical interpretation

A respectful understanding of and alignment with the church's mission and values

Prior experience performing in church settings is a plus

Formal training in music or piano performance is preferred
