Marketing Director

Adams Brown is seeking an experienced Marketing Director to lead the firm's marketing strategy, team and day-to-day priorities. This is an important leadership role focused on helping the firm grow strategically across key industries, services and markets.
The right person for this role is a practical, growth-minded marketing leader who can see the big picture and still understand the details. They should be comfortable working with firm leadership, guiding Marketing Growth Managers, managing a team and helping the firm focus its marketing efforts on the industries, services and markets with the strongest opportunity.
The Marketing Director will bring structure, direction and accountability to the firm's marketing efforts while helping align marketing initiatives with firmwide business goals. This role works closely with partners, niche leaders and executive leadership to prioritize opportunities, support business development efforts and strengthen the firm's overall marketing effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Leadership
Lead the development and execution of Adams Brown's marketing strategy and annual growth initiatives
Partner with executive leadership, partners and niche leaders to align marketing priorities with firm growth goals
Help identify which industries, services and geographic markets offer the strongest growth opportunities
Establish KPIs and reporting processes to measure marketing effectiveness and recommend strategic adjustments
Oversee the marketing and business development budget, ensuring strong resource allocation and ROI
Participate in leadership discussions related to firm growth, market opportunities and marketing priorities
Bring strategic recommendations to leadership, not simply execute requests
This person will help answer questions such as:
Where should the firm focus its marketing time and budget?
Which industries and services have the strongest growth opportunities?
What campaigns, events and digital efforts will best support firm goals?
What should marketing stop doing, start doing or improve?
Marketing Planning & Team Leadership
Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
Provide leadership and direction to Marketing Growth Managers and support consistent planning processes across the firm
Create a standardized framework for industry and service-line marketing plans
Review marketing plans to ensure they are focused, measurable and aligned with firm strategy
Work closely with Marketing Growth Managers, niche leaders and partners to develop and execute growth-focused marketing plans
Build strong cross-functional relationships across marketing, business development and client-serving teams
Help prioritize marketing resources based on firm goals, market opportunities and team capacity
Marketing Strategy & Execution
Oversee the firm's digital marketing strategy, including website management, SEO and conversion optimization
Ensure effective use of CRM, marketing automation and analytics platforms to support reporting and campaign execution
Support content and campaign initiatives that align with firm growth priorities and business development efforts
Guide marketing messaging and positioning to support targeted industries, services and growth initiatives
Oversee campaign planning and execution across digital, email, events and other marketing channels
Evaluate marketing performance and recommend improvements based on data and results
Sales Enablement & Business Development Support
Own and optimize the firm's client, prospect and referral databases
Lead the pipeline management process and support winning proposal development
Collaborate with practitioners and firm leaders to equip teams with messaging, materials and tools that support growth efforts
Help improve lead tracking, reporting and follow-up processes across the firm
Support business development initiatives through strategic marketing planning and coordination
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred
10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, preferably in professional services or B2B environments
Experience leading strategic marketing planning and growth initiatives
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to work effectively with executives, partners and cross-functional teams
Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM systems, analytics and marketing automation tools
Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills
Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action

Our offices are open from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday during tax season and offices close at noon on Fridays outside of tax season. We are closed on major holidays, offer substantial paid-time-off, a comprehensive benefit package, competitive pay structure, and a culture of growth, clarity, and respect. Additional hours are required. There may be occasional overnight travel out-of-town.
