We provide clients with services ranging from in‑force transactions and product development to underwriting and new business strategies, and have the expertise to manage the largest life and annuity transactions in the market.

Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced AVP of Operations who can apply analytical and project‑management skills to acquisition integration programs as well as ongoing management of in‑force policies. The role requires knowledge of underwriting, accounting, and statutory reporting, and the ability to structure and manage high‑touch projects across multiple functional areas.

Responsibilities
Acquisition Integration (75%)

Assist in due diligence, track operational requests and responses, conduct expense analyses, and document risk assessments.

Structure and manage transition plans across all integration phases.

Coordinate with Wilton Re functional areas and external parties to establish operational effectiveness pre‑ and post‑change.

Oversee third‑party providers for data conversion, system modification, and process conversion.

Compile analysis and recommendations to resolve issues or mitigate risks during transition.

Conduct oversight during the post‑conversion phase for special monitoring or projects.

In Force Management (25%)

Oversee third‑party operational services.

Monitor service level agreements and operational aspects of in‑force activities.

Determine status‑report frequency, analyze results, and troubleshoot problems.

Collaborate to refine policies and procedures that govern administration.

Contribute to internal and external reporting and presentations, including board reporting.

Project Management (General)

Break down high‑level scope into work items across disciplines.

Define project scope, goals, and approach with key contributors.

Establish project plans with milestones, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.

Manage the project lifecycle, tracking, analyzing, and mitigating risks.

Communicate expectations to owners, sponsors, team members, and stakeholders.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years in the life and annuity insurance industry focusing on business operations, project leadership, risk analysis, and solutioning.

Self‑starter with critical and analytical thinking skills.

Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.

Strong influencing and relationship‑management skills.

Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of self‑management and multitasking.

Experience with finance, controls, IT, and third‑party management.

Understanding of assumed and ceded insurance concepts, processes, and data.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience querying and manipulating large data sets, preferably using SQL.

Understanding of basic SDLC principles as applied to project work.

Experience with ETL projects such as data conversion and integration.

Experience with project planning software.

Education / Certifications:

University degree preferably in finance, business administration, or computer science.

Pay / Location

Location: Norwalk, CT (Hybrid structure, minimal to no travel required).

Base salary range for Connecticut: $120,000 – $160,000, based on job‑related factors.
