Grand Canyon Education is looking for a motivated Account Executive to oversee the Lorain, OH territory in this unique community‑based opportunity. Starting salary is $75,000 per year with an earning potential of a six‑figure income after five years of successful service as an Account Executive/University Development Counselor. Must live within 30 miles of Lorain, OH. New‑hire training will be held in‑person at our Phoenix, AZ campus. Grand Canyon Education offers a generous benefits package, including 100 % tuition‑free education for employees through the Master’s degree program level and 75 % coverage at the Doctorate degree program level. In addition, an employee’s spouse, children and dependents are also offered generous tuition benefits.

Typical Week

Strategy and execution: consistently identify and implement event/activity plans for your territory, build awareness of our online academic programs for education, healthcare and business, and drive inquiry generation. Shape high‑impact partnerships and execute daily work through informational presentations, calls and emails, iterating as needed to maximize value.

Partner and influencer: through a variety of mediums, use your passion for serving others to provide exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families and partners. Whether in‑person, over the phone or via email, champion the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.

Heart and hustle: this is a community‑based position with ambitious targets. Working independently, use out‑of‑the‑box critical thinking skills to support prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process, guiding them on the right path toward a successful online learning experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. No delinquent or in‑default federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must show that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments.

Outstanding time‑management skills and ability to prioritize competing priorities even while travelling.

Clear communication skills: explain anything to anyone and comfortable communicating in person, in writing and on the phone. Well‑developed listening skills required.

Self‑motivation and drive to succeed: volunteer for new challenges without waiting to be asked; take ownership of the time you spend with Grand Canyon University students and truly make a difference.

High emotional intelligence: coach a diverse range of Grand Canyon University students, each with unique circumstances. Demonstrate empathy and ability to nurture partner relationships.

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and flexible schedule. Requires extensive travel in turf; clean driving record and ability to use personal vehicle. Some events may require evening or weekend availability.

Computer literacy: proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Use a number of digital tools to help you execute work and stay accountable.
