Back of House Director
The Back of House Director oversees BOH Team Members, BOH Team Trainers, and Team Leaders. This role is responsible for creating safe, high-quality food experiences for guests while developing leaders, stewarding resources, and improving BOH systems. The Back of House Director leads with ownership, accountability, and care while supporting the team in a way that reflects our Vision: To Exemplify Care with Purposeful Excellence.

Core Responsibilities:
BOH Leadership: Oversee BOH Team Members, BOH Team Trainers, and Team Leaders through clear communication, consistent coaching, and strong daily execution.
Operational Excellence: Maintain a clean, organized BOH and ensure all food production meets Pathway standards while complying with Deloitte and EcoSure expectations.
Financial Stewardship: Maintain food cost, paper cost goals set by the Owner/Operator, and steward repairs and maintenance within the approved monthly budget.
Labor Management: Manage labor and scheduling to maintain productivity goals set by the Owner/Operator, using breaks, cleaning tasks, and voluntary early clock-outs to support labor goals.
Systems and Tools: Maintain strong @CFA Back Office knowledge, including R&T, Signal, Time Punch, TMUA, Pathway, and Nation Checklists.
Team Development: Identify Team Members with leadership potential and coach them through development stages alongside the Training Manager.

Execution: Leads daily BOH operations with attention to detail, urgency, organization, food safety, and food quality.

Leadership Development: Builds Team Members and Team Leaders through coaching, training, correction, and intentional growth conversations.
Continuous Improvement: Identifies systematic errors and inefficiencies, then improves or creates systems that strengthen guest experience and team efficiency.
Culture Alignment: Leads through others by casting the Operator's vision, creating buy-in, increasing morale, and supporting a positive growth-oriented environment.
Qualifications and Success Profile:
Four-year college degree preferred
Proven experience leading teams of 20 or more
4+ years of restaurant experience preferred
ServSafe Certification
Elite sense of speed and urgency
Strong food safety, food quality, and operational discipline
Ability to coach, develop, and lead through others
Clear communication and reliable follow-through
Commitment to restaurant Vision, Mission and Culture
Fluent in Spanish is a plus but not required
