Position Details

Per Service Section Violin (1 position, temporarily core during 2026-2027 season).
Per Service Section Violin (2 1‑year positions).
65 Service Minimum Guarantee.
Employment to begin October 2026.
Length of season 36 weeks, including 2 paid vacation weeks.
Compensation

2026-27 full season salary: $49,847.28 plus benefits.
2026-27 per service rate: $187.49 per service.
Benefits

For salaried musicians: health insurance (Sarasota Orchestra pays no less than 75% of premium), instrument insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, 403(b) retirement plan, and Flexible Spending Account.
For per service musicians: instrument insurance and a 403(b) retirement plan.
Employment Details

Audition

Audition date: Monday, September 14, 2026.
One‑day audition; all rounds will take place on the same day.
Application Process

Send a $75 deposit check made payable to Sarasota Orchestra to our office by August 3, 2026.
Both the resume and deposit must be received; incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Auditions will take place at Beatrice Friedman Symphony Center. No electronic devices are allowed in the audition room.
