Position Purpose & Summary The Marketing Manager will work with the Director of Sales & Marketing to manage all brand programming duties and functions for Garden of the Gods Resort & Club, including special events and promotional opportunities to ensure alignment with the brand vision and property goals.
Essential Functions Deploy successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution independently or with the DOSM, and identify weaknesses in existing campaigns to develop pragmatic solutions within budgetary constraints.
Communicate with senior management about marketing initiatives, project metrics, and brainstorm fresh strategies with the DSOM and management team.
Maintain, manage, and update all collateral assets for the property, adhering to brand communication guidelines and standards as guided by the DSOM.
Evaluate and recommend distribution channel development programs.
Support and execute promotions and packages based on the property's seasonal needs to improve revenue performance.
Collaborate with the DOSM to produce valuable and engaging content for the website and blog that attracts and converts target groups.
Oversee property web pages, digital marketing plans, and maintain the property's presence on social media, including updates and recommendations for content enhancements.
Collaborate and partner with the Marketing Specialist on design, creative projects, and social media.
Coordinate all public relations and promotional activities with the DSOM, focusing on improved revenue performance and personal attention to media tours, photo shoots, broadcasts, interviews, and events.
Act independently with minimal supervision and adhere to deadlines.
Deliver I Am Proud service standards and department-specific signature touchpoints.
Establish cross‑departmental communication channels that are consistent and complete.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate advanced and progressive knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
Forge local partnerships and review opportunities for local promotions and sponsorships to enhance community recognition and status within the CVB and hospitality partners.
Adapt to varying schedules due to the cyclical nature of hospitality.
Maintain regular attendance during scheduled work times and attend all scheduled training sessions and meetings on time.
Apply math skills and budgetary analysis capabilities.
Maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance per the property's standards.
Greet every guest, member, and team member with I Am Proud standards, setting a positive tone for interactions.

Position Requirements Minimum Knowledge & Skills Adobe design suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and WordPress.
Above‑average computer skills, including accounting programs, project management software, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Formal Education and Job‑Related Experience Minimum bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field and/or 5 years of professional marketing or events management experience, preferably in a luxury upscale hotel or resort.
License, Registration, and/or Certification Required Valid unrestricted driver's license.
External and Internal Personal Contact Communications Daily – Standup meetings.
Weekly – Operational meetings, department‑specific marketing and planning meetings, and communication with third‑party vendors.
Teamwork and Collaboration Continuous teamwork and cross‑departmental communication are required.
Additional Licenses and/or Certifications Required Valid Driver's License (required).
CPR Certification (not required).
Food Protection Manager Certification (not required).
Food Handler Certification (not required).
Alcohol Server/Seller Certification (not required).
Position Analysis/Specifications Physical demands: occasional sitting, standing, walking, bending, crawling, reaching, crouching, kneeling, balancing, pushing/pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and use of manual dexterity, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near/far vision, color recognition, and hearing.
Continuous use of computer and keyboard.
Environmental Factors Work environment includes indoor setting with overhead lighting and comfortable ventilation. May be called to work indoors or outdoors, possibly in inclement weather.
