Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to support the processes of content and facilitation development of the online course developed through state initiatives.

Education/Certification

Texas Teacher Certification

Bachelor’s Degree

Bilingual Education Certification is preferred

Administrator Certification is preferred

Master’s degree is preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills

TEA Reading Practices policies and procedures

Early literacy and language development

Biliteracy and bilingual development

Instructional Coaching

Experience

2 year supporting state-wide initiatives

2 years of content development for state-wide projects

5 years of successful classroom teaching experience

Administrator experience is preferred

Serves as a brand ambassador across departments, regions, and the state

Demonstrates knowledge of evolving state and legal requirements and their impact

Develops and conducts professional development for cohort leaders statewide

Supports cohort leaders in content knowledge and coaching principles

Supports state agencies in developing content modules for Texas Reading Academies and related programs

Prepares reports on content development, cohort leader training needs, and facilitation material effectiveness

Preform other duties as assigned

Equipment/Specialized Software Used
Computers, projection devices, control panels in meeting rooms, printers, productivity software, software specific to the job assignment, network resources, internet resources, and other hardware and software necessary to perform the functions of the job effectively and efficiently.

Working Conditions (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors)
Mental:

Public relations and people skills are always required, work with frequent interruptions, and maintain professional composure and confidentiality under stress.

Physical:

Occasional prolonged and irregular hours, ability to move tables and chairs and load/unload boxes and materials. Prolonged use of a computer. Frequent region and state-wide travel.

Environmental:

Open cubicles/workstations.

Evaluation
Annual performance evaluation will be performed in accordance with the adopted policies of the Education Service Center Region 11. Employment in this position is contingent upon performance, need, and funding.
