Job Overview

Well-known, licensed dress and sportswear designer doing women’s contemporary. Assist with all aspects of design including understanding of garment construction, fit, grading, and patternmaking. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is required — including sketching technical flats for technical packets and line sheets, building construction callouts, and executing pattern corrections. Must be able to sketch on Adobe or Photoshop well. Strong Excel skills (spec sheets, measurement tracking, data accuracy). Experience with PLM systems (AIMS/PLM or similar). Mid‑town, well‑established design co. West 39th Street and 7th Avenue.
