Director - Online Sales
The Director for Online Sales supports the mission of Overflow Thrift Store (OTS) by administering the Overflow Ebay store and other online sales avenues. The Director leads the Online sales team to select items for placement on on-line sales avenues, train store staff to identify items for special price / online sales, complete pricing review for all items (following pricing guides, when applicable), establish efficient processes for transfer and management of merchandise between Overflow stores, list items on Overflow online sales stores in a creative and appealing manner, manage product promotions, organize online merchandise for efficient storage and access, oversee regular product rotation so the Overflow ebay store is "fresh," assist customers to complete purchases and maintain positive communications with customers, and arrange for shipping of items. The Director collaborates with other online sales and marketing staff to achieve sales goals, promote Ebay store merchandise, and maintain efficient online store operations.
This position is a member of Overflow's senior leadership team and, as such, stewards Overflow's Mission, Core Values and Statement of Beliefs both internally and externally. Therefore, the Director must agree to uphold Overflow's Statement of Beliefs in principle, conviction, professional behavior, and personal practice.

Position Key Responsibilities
Serve as member of Overflow leadership team with Managing Director, Senior Operations Director and Store Directors
Contribute to the strategic and operational decision-making for the Overflow stores overall.
Regularly evaluate and update as needed Overflow's pricing standards and guidelines for special price / online merchandise.
Regularly evaluate and update as needed Overflow's overall processes and logistics for the online / Ebay store. Seek ways to improve internal processes and the overall success of the online / Ebay store.
Collaborate with Overflow leadership team to identify and develop new online and special price revenue opportunities.
Oversee training for all Overflow staff for special price product selection and pricing, and online store processes.
Manage OTS online sales and inventory
Manage incoming and listed inventory.
Oversee pricing of merchandise sent to the Online sales team, following pricing standards and guidelines.
Assure special price merchandise is processed quickly for either placement on the Overflow Ebay store or on the retail store floor.
List items on online stores, taking pictures and creating online posts that will attract customers.
For special price items not listed for online sales, price and prepare those items for in-store sale.
Manage donor communication and shipping.
Manage sales and inventory turnover.
Maintain good relationships with customers.
Maintain tidy and efficient online store offices.
Achieve Sales Goals for Dept
Meet monthly department sales goals.
Provide monthly sales reports.
Track sales and shipping expenses.
Support store operations as needed with processing, pricing and inventory management.
Serve as an ambassador to OTS volunteers - creating an environment of appreciation for our volunteers while supporting volunteers to achieve the OTS mission
Collaborate with volunteers on assigned work priorities
Communicate with volunteers with kindness, respect and appreciation
Participate in planned volunteer trainings, groups, and appreciation as scheduled
Utilize clothing training and pricing guides for volunteer onboarding
Position Requirements
Bachelor or Associate degree preferred
Two to three years experience in an online sales environment preferred
Experience in a retail, thrift or consignment environment preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and 60 pounds in a team lift occasionally
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous standing, carrying, bending, squatting, pulling, and pushing. This is a constant expectation of the role.
This is a physically-active role - staff should expect to be standing and moving approximately 80% of their shifts. The work includes cleaning the online store area (mopping, sweeping, dusting), cleaning merchandise, moving boxes and merchandise repeatedly, using and moving packing materials, pushing heavy carts, moving displays, etc.
Ability to work outside in all weather on a variety of tasks such as assisting donors as they remove items from their vehicles, removing trash from the store to exterior dumpsters, helping customers with merchandise pick-ups, etc. This is an occasional expectation of the role.
