SUMMARY

As Director for Online Sales, you will lead Overflow Thrift Store’s (OTS) online presence by managing the Ebay store and other digital platforms, selecting inventory, training staff, setting prices, creating listings, and overseeing promotions and shipping. You will collaborate with marketing and leadership to meet sales goals, develop new revenue opportunities, and maintain efficient online operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as a member of the Overflow leadership team with Managing Director, Senior Operations Director, and Store Directors.
Contribute to strategic and operational decision‑making for the Overflow stores.
Regularly evaluate and update Overflow’s pricing standards and guidelines for special price/online merchandise.
Regularly evaluate and update internal processes for the online/Ebay store to improve efficiency.
Collaborate with leadership to identify and develop new online and special price revenue opportunities.
Oversee training for all staff on special price product selection, pricing, and online store processes.
Manage incoming and listed inventory, pricing, and logistics for the OTS online sales & inventory.
Ensure items are listed promptly and attractively, taking photos and creating engaging posts.
Handle donor communication, shipping, sales, and inventory turnover.
Maintain positive customer relationships.
Achieve monthly department sales goals and provide monthly sales reports.
Track sales and shipping expenses.
Support store operations as needed with processing, pricing, and inventory management.
Act as an ambassador to OTS volunteers, facilitating appreciation, training, and respectful communication.
Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety standards and Overflow Thrift Store policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor or Associate degree preferred.
Two to three years experience in an online sales environment preferred.
Experience in a retail, thrift, or consignment environment preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment requiring continuous standing, carrying, bending, squatting, pulling, and pushing.
Ability to work outside in all weather on tasks such as assisting donors, removing trash, and helping customers with pickups.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Primarily a retail thrift store environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, odors, and used items. Occasional exposure to weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Frequent climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, grasping, and finger dexterity.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally 60 pounds in a team lift.
Standing approximately 40 percent of the time; walking 40 percent; sitting 20 percent.
Requires exertion of up to 10 pounds of force continuously and up to 50 pounds infrequently.
VISION REQUIREMENTS

Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
