Overview
A Japan-based food company specializing in traditional grain and health-focused food products is seeking a Sales Marketing Manager to lead business growth and brand awareness initiatives in the U.S. market. This position will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, driving sales growth, expanding business partnerships, and supporting the company's long-term expansion in North America.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute marketing and sales strategies to increase brand awareness and revenue growth in the U.S. market

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, distributors, and key accounts

Manage relationships with clients, distributors, retailers, and business partners

Lead marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and brand-building initiatives

Coordinate with external marketing agencies and partners for digital marketing, social media, and advertising activities

Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to support business growth strategies

Establish sales goals, monitor performance, and provide regular reporting to management

Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities

Collaborate closely with the Japan headquarters to align business objectives and marketing initiatives

Support product launches and market expansion efforts throughout North America

Manage project timelines, budgets, and marketing resources

Provide leadership and guidance to support staff and external partners as needed

Participate in training in Japan upon joining the company (approximately 2 weeks)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred

3+ years of experience in marketing, sales, business development, or account management

Experience within the food, beverage, consumer goods, or related industry is preferred

Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneousl

Japanese-English bilingual communication skills preferred but not required

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Passion for Japanese food culture and interest in promoting Japanese food products in the U.S. market

Hybrid work environment (2–3 days in office)
