WINK News is seeking a talented and experienced Television News Photographer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for storytelling through the lens, a passion for capturing compelling visuals, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced news environment.

Responsibilities

Capture high‑quality video footage for daily news broadcasts, special reports, and feature stories.

Work closely with reporters, producers, and other newsroom staff to ensure visual content aligns with overall storytelling goals.

Edit video footage efficiently and creatively to meet tight deadlines.

Operate and maintain camera equipment, lighting, and audio gear to ensure optimal performance.

Conduct live shots and on‑location shoots, often under tight time constraints and varying weather conditions.

Ensure all video content meets WINK News standards for accuracy, clarity, and visual appeal.

Collaborate with the newsroom team to develop and execute creative visual storytelling ideas.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a television news photographer or similar role in a broadcast news environment.

Proficiency with professional video cameras and editing software.

Strong visual storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and composition.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.

Minimum two years of experience as a television news photographer.

Experience with live broadcasting and conducting live shots.

Knowledge of drone operation and FAA certification is a plus.
