What You Will Do
As the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will lead all sales and marketing efforts for the community while driving occupancy growth and maintaining strong relationships throughout the local market.
Responsibilities include:
- Establish goals and oversee the daily operations of the Sales & Marketing department to achieve and maintain targeted occupancy levels.
- Design, implement, and manage the annual sales and marketing plan.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and company guidelines.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sales and marketing initiatives.
- Develop advertising campaigns, newsletters, public relations materials, and community outreach efforts.
- Serve as a community ambassador by building relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, local organizations, and community partners.
- Coordinate media relations, interviews, and press releases as appropriate.
- Conduct sales presentations, community tours, and follow-up activities with prospective residents and families.
- Develop and actively participate in outreach programs to increase awareness and generate qualified leads.
- Plan and oversee the move-in process to ensure a seamless experience for new residents and their families.
- Develop departmental budgets, forecasts, and staffing plans.
- Track sales performance, occupancy trends, and lead conversion metrics.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position reports directly to the Executive Director and is expected to perform independently while exercising sound judgment and decision-making skills.
The Director of Sales & Marketing supervises, directs, and evaluates the work of associates within the Sales department.
Why You Are Qualified
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in sales, marketing, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a related industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals and building strong referral relationships.
- Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital marketing platforms.
- Valid Minnesota driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance.
- Ability to travel locally for marketing and outreach activities.
Physical Requirements
On a daily basis, throughout the workday, candidates must be capable of:
- Sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
- Reaching overhead and performing fine motor tasks.
- Lifting up to 15 pounds unassisted.
