Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $28.00 per hour

Employment type: 40 hours per week

Period of performance: 01 August 2026 – 31 July 2027 (option to extend)

Paid Federal holidays: 11

Paid time off: Up to 80 hours per year, scheduled from day one

Sick leave: Up to 56 hours per year, scheduled from day one

Work Location & Hours
Work will be primarily at the Academic Development Branch, Education Delivery Division, Department of Education, United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) located at 2510 5th St., Building 840, Area B, Wright‑Patterson AFB, OH 45433-7913. Standard schedule is 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Flexibility for after‑hours or weekends may be required. Total time will not exceed 40 hours per week.

Mandatory Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, journalism, public relations or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in digital marketing, advertising, communications or educational marketing.

Experience working with cross‑functional teams, including graphic designers, photographers, videographers, etc.

Experience with digital signage platforms and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign or Illustrator).

Proven knowledge of visual hierarchy, color theory, typography, and layout principles.

Highly Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of Department of Defense branding and communication policies (e.g., Tongue and Quill).

Certifications such as HubSpot Content Marketing Certification, Digital Marketing Institute (DMI), or Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP).

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in inventory and maintenance of audiovisual/computer‑related equipment.

Support ordering, storing, coding/entering inventory into the database, and disposing of equipment.

Create, design, and edit all digital signage as directed.

Provide digital design consultation to members and programs, applying expertise in professional marketing and mass communications activities.

Lead and participate with a team of mass communications professionals to achieve strategic communication goals.

Ensure all products meet AFRL/PA brand book and other applicable branding requirements.

Participate in and support other projects such as writing continuity documents, attending or presenting at eLearning symposiums, defining capabilities for potential customers, and collaborating with local colleges or multi‑service partners.
