Regional Sales Manager – Automotive SaaS
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly connected and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to join our growing automotive SaaS organization. This role is ideal for an experienced automotive industry sales professional with an established dealer network and deep relationships within the automotive retail space.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with organizations such as AutoTrader, Cars.com, Dealer.com, Cox Automotive, DriveCentric, automotive digital marketing platforms, CRM providers, lead generation companies, or other automotive technology and advertising solutions.
This position is responsible for driving new business growth, managing dealer relationships, generating product demos, closing new accounts, and expanding strategic partnerships across assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect, develop, and close new dealership and dealer group opportunities within assigned territory
Leverage existing automotive industry relationships and book of business to generate immediate pipeline activity
Conduct product presentations, demos, and sales consultations with dealership ownership, executive leadership, and fixed operations teams
Build and maintain strong relationships with dealer principals, general managers, marketing directors, and automotive leadership teams
Collaborate with internal onboarding, client success, marketing, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation and client retention
Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM activity tracking
Attend industry events, conferences, trade shows, and networking functions to generate new business opportunities
Identify opportunities for dealer group expansion and multi-rooftop growth
Work closely with leadership to develop territory growth strategies and sales initiatives
Stay informed on automotive industry trends, dealer pain points, SaaS technology solutions, and competitive landscape
Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automotive SaaS, automotive digital marketing, automotive technology sales, or automotive advertising sales
Prior experience working with or selling alongside companies such as AutoTrader, Cars.com, Cox Automotive, Dealer.com, Dealer Inspire, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, DriveCentric, VinSolutions, or similar organizations strongly preferred
Existing book of business and active dealership relationships required
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in the automotive industry
Strong understanding of dealership operations, automotive lead generation, digital retailing, CRM systems, and marketing technology
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Experience managing full sales cycle from prospecting through close
Willingness to travel as needed within assigned region
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling SaaS solutions to automotive dealerships or dealer groups
Existing relationships with dealer groups and automotive ownership groups
Strong understanding of automotive marketing, lead management, customer acquisition, and dealership performance metrics
Experience with CRM platforms and pipeline management tools
