CenterCal is seeking a Marketing Manager based in Concord, CA to lead marketing initiatives across The Veranda and The Streets of Brentwood.

General Purpose
Under the direction of the General Manager and the SVP, Property Management, the Marketing Manager is responsible for driving sales/traffic and NOI growth by coordinating marketing initiatives, events, and supporting specialty leasing operations at The Veranda and The Streets of Brentwood. This position will be based out of both properties based on business needs and event/activity dates.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Support revenue generation through marketing/advertising initiatives and specialty leasing administrative support.

Drive merchant sales and center traffic through effective event execution and promotional strategies.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of customer preferences and market trends across all properties.

Protect and build property and CenterCal brands in the region.

Manage digital assets and social media presence for all supported properties.

Assist in overall management responsibilities for the shopping center by working with front office staff, third‑party marketing support and operations departments.

Plan and execute project‑wide events, seasonal programs and promotions across multiple properties.

Coordinate with the Business Development Manager and Specialty Leasing Manager, including license agreement execution and submission to accounting as needed.

Work closely with property management team and new tenants to effectively market store openings and assist with grand openings.

Manage strategic communication including advertising, public relations and in‑project messaging to maintain market visibility.

Drive social media strategy by reviewing and approving scheduled posts across all platforms to ensure quality and relevance.

Assist with budget management including marketing expense contracting, events, sponsorship, and advertising income.

Prepare correspondence, proposals, and presentations for various audiences regarding programs and projects.

Work closely with corporate advertising sales agency to ensure maximum utilization of assets.

Handle license agreement administration including applications, event agreements, and certificates of insurance.

Maintain center websites and digital presence.

Support revenue generation through sponsorship coordination.

Maintain frequent communication with tenants and apply feedback to marketing programs and reporting.

Answer incoming calls, greet visitors, and manage front desk operations at The Veranda as needed.

Act as a primary point of contact for tenants, vendors, and customers.

Process incoming correspondence and maintain professional office environment.

Other duties as assigned.

Schedule
Monday through Friday. Must also be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for events and Manager on Duty shifts.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Marketing, Event Planning, or Project Coordination.

Shopping center, retail, and/or property management experience preferred.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.

Experience with social media management and digital marketing platforms.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new software systems.

Familiarity with REmaap software system, or comparable lease data integration platform.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with tenants, vendors, and customers.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Ability to maintain professional demeanor in all interactions.

Basic understanding of budget tracking and expense management.

Experience with event coordination and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Self‑motivated with a positive, solution‑oriented attitude.

Ability to read and understand basic business documentation (e.g., contract language).

Must be willing to travel between properties as needed.

Physical Demands
Work requires communication, exchange of information, collecting, compiling, and preparing work documents, and operating standard business office equipment.

Work Environment
General office environment and on‑site at shopping center property. Travel as required. May require extended hours during peak periods.

The base salary for this position starts at $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
