Purpose of the Job
The Regional Sales Manager will optimize Lil’ Drug Store Products convenience sales by utilizing a consultative, solutions-oriented, sales process while effectively managing customer relationships. They will assist territory customers in growing their sales and profits by exhibiting convenience channel and HBC category knowledge and expertise. This individual must live within the sales territory.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute plans to achieve sales goals

Assist assigned customers in optimizing their sales and profits within the categories that Lil’ Drug Store participates

Efficiently manage time and travel to visit territory customers at regular intervals, in-person sales calls approximately 3.5 days/week

Ensure that existing customers receive excellent service

Manage and hold accountable a broker network to drive sales within the given territory

Provide needed information to customers in a timely manner, speak intelligently, and to the point about the products you represent

Organize and implement campaigns within your region to cultivate new business with strong prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing skills in order to optimize the Lil Drug Store program

Conduct one‑on‑one and group sales presentations

Analyze customer accounts and potential accounts; monitor, track, and analyze customer information, forecasts, and reports

Develop and maintain prospect and customer lists based on strategic marketing data and other sources in assigned region

Create winning proposals

Represent the company at trade shows

Effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of a company from front line staff to key executives

Build the value of the Lil Drug Store brand with customers and prospective customers within the assigned region through all activities and interactions

Work as a team player with both internal and external

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education

Bachelor’s degree in preferred Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred

Qualifications

A minimum of four years successful sales experience, eight years in the absence of a degree

Proven success at new account acquisition

Previous successful experience selling in a convenience store class of trade is preferred

Preferred experience in leading or managing people in order to manage a broker network

Basic experience utilizing Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Physical and Working Environment

Working Hours: Hours may vary and will require evening and weekend work depending on business needs

Working Environment: Work usually performed in home office, customer office, or retail setting

Tools and Equipment Used: Computer, tablet, e‑mail, phone, and other standard office equipment

Travel: Travel by airplane or automobile at least 50% of the time

Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds on a regular basis (demonstration samples) and up to 50 pounds on occasion; digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment and in executing physical planograms as needed; ability to effectively communicate with customers or employees remotely and in person; ability to travel from one customer location to another
